Schoolvally Answer: I have taken a trip to famous shrine of Mata Vaishnio devi situated on Trikuta Hills in Katra in Jammu and Kashmir. It is a tracking of 12.5 Km from the base and the whole track is well maintained and has all the emergency services.

I enjoy delicious food like gol gappas, chaat, chhole kulche, hot jalebis with rabri, kulfi avilable on the stalls.
I also enjoy rides like merry-go-round, the giant wheel and ‘bhoot’ bangla.

I would have been at their place I would have enjoyed rides first then, purchased toys like robot and any sports item. Watched magic show and Lastly would eat Burger and ice cream.

Schoolvally Answer: Yes melas were different when they were young as all the rides were very affordable even for the poor, food was cheap and stalls were flooded with handicraft items and wooden and clay toys. I also learned that the magic shows were longer than today. There would also have a animal dance show which usually we don’t see now a days.

Schoolvally Answer: Melas are prone to fire and any other misshaping like breaking of a ride or some one falling from the ride, which would seek medical attention. So fire engines and ambulances are present in a mela for the timely service in case of such emergencies.

Schoolvally Answer: Seeds of plants may remain in the soil for long periods and sprout when it rains or they are watered. New plants come by germination of seeds they are already present in the soil and animals come from their borrow and also their eggs hatch in this season.
Why could you not see them earlier?
We could not see them earlier, because some insects wait for the rains and humidity to emerge from the soil. they bury they selves deep in soil to save them form heat of summers.

1. What is the process of pot making?
Schoolvally answer: Take the clay and make it wet add enough water to make the required consistency. Then kneed it well. Make sure that the clay is neither too watery nor too dry. Kneaded the clay like dough.
Finally, put the clay on a stone wheel and shaped it by spinning it. Dry these pots in sun and then bake them in potters oven known as ‘kiln’.
The pot is ready for use. Make some patterns on the pots to make the pots look even more beautiful.
2. How do artists get ideas for their arts?
Schoolvally answer: Many artists who paint on pots get ideas for their art from nature. Patterns can be formed using shapes and colours from nature.

(a) Use cloth bags and reusable containers in place of plastic bags and bottles this will reduce plastic waste.
(b) Try to buy things that we need and use them until they are not usable anymore. This will save them turning into waste soon.
(c) Reuse things instead of throwing them away. Like make quilts from old sarees or bags from old clothes. This will be helpful in reducing waste.
(d) Reuse old newspaper for packing and making paper bags.
How can you REUSE things to reduce waste?
Schoolvally answer: We as students can do following to reduce waste.
(a) We can reuse paper that has been used on one side for rough work.
(b) Instead of buying water bottle, we can reuse a bottle made of a safe material like steel or copper by refilling it.
(c) Instead of buying decoration items we can make toys or decorative things using old newspapers, old calendars, bottles, boxes, etc.

1. How is waste created?
Schoolvally answer: Waste is created by everyday activities, like we dispose of old clothes, tins, bottles, paper, peels of vegetables and fruits, plastic wrappers, pencil shavings, old batteries and so many other things.
All of these many times ends up in garbage piles. We often see these piles of waste around your home, school or in the neighbourhood. Also some waste is created by stray animals like dogs and cows.
2. How can we manage waste?
Schoolvally answer: We can manage waste by following good practices like 3R that is Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. This will help us save money and environment both.
1. To avoid use of plastic bags and bottles, look at your home and school closely. List all the items of plastic material and write how these could be replaced by other safe materials.
Schoolvally answer: Duster handle, drinking water bottle, lunch box. pencil box, plates and spoons, decorative items and mats are some of the plastic material that we can replace with other safe material.

(a) Instead of balloons and buntings we can use lights for decoration, these lights can be reused on Christmas and Diwali.
